Sacha Kathuria Metsger is a business and environmental law attorney with over 10 years of experience practicing in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Sacha began her law career in the Pittsburgh area working for oil and gas industry clients and taught at Saint Vincent College's McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government. She also provided trade compliance guidance to an export trading company. Sacha then received a Shaw Fellowship from The George Washington University Law School to complete a specialized degree in Energy and Environmental Law. While completing this advanced degree, Sacha worked for the Midwestern Governors Association, where she led the expansion of the U.S. Department of Energy's Regulatory and Permitting Information Desktop (RAPID) Toolkit to the Midwest. She also worked on electric transmission policy and the integration of distributed energy resources into the electric grid. From there, Sacha advised two major trade associations representing the oil pipeline industry and the paint industry on energy, environmental regulatory and compliance matters. Her work included outreach to state, federal, and international agencies and legislators, drafting written comments, and advocating for policy positions. She also provides energy and international trade regulatory guidance to a major "Big 4" global management consulting company.
Sacha grew up in a small business family and comes from a long line of manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers. She understands the challenges faced by businesses and strives to fully understand a client's needs before tackling a situation. She remains active in the legal field through publications, presentations, and professional associations, and ensures that she is up to date on aspects of the law affecting her clients.
