About Attorney Metsger

Sacha Kathuria Metsger  is an experienced attorney with over 15 years of practice in business, energy, and environmental law across Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. Raised in Western Pennsylvania, Sacha began her legal career representing clients in the oil and gas industry and teaching at Saint Vincent College’s McKenna School of Business, Economics, and Government. She also advised an export trading company on international trade compliance.

Driven to deepen her expertise in energy and environmental issues, Sacha earned a specialized LL.M. from The George Washington University Law School as a Shaw Fellow, graduating as one of the program’s top-performing students. While in Washington, she contributed to the Midwestern Governors Association, where she led the expansion of the U.S. Department of Energy’s RAPID Toolkit across the Midwest and worked on regional electric transmission policy and the integration of distributed energy resources into the grid.

Sacha has since advised two major trade associations—one representing the oil pipeline industry, the other the paint and coatings sector—on regulatory compliance, environmental policy, and legislative advocacy. Her work has included drafting regulatory comments, engaging with federal, state, and international agencies, and representing member interests on critical issues.

In addition to her work with larger organizations, Sacha maintains a strong commitment to small business. She has counseled startups, entrepreneurs, and family-run enterprises on legal matters ranging from energy regulation to environmental compliance and international trade.

Coming from a multi-generational family of business owners—manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers—Sacha brings a deep appreciation for the practical challenges businesses face. She approaches each client with curiosity, clarity, and a commitment to fully understanding their business before crafting legal solutions.

Sacha remains active in the legal community through speaking engagements, professional associations, and legal publications. Currently, she is Co-Chair of the Waste and Recovery Resources Committee for the American Bar Association Section of Energy, Environment, and Resources.  She is dedicated to staying ahead of legal and policy developments that impact her clients' industries and operations.
